Duoderm wound dressings are among the most technologically-advanced wound care systems on the market today.  They offer gentle, pain-free care for wounds of all types, something that anyone who has ever experienced a serious wound knows is crucial.

WHAT MAKES DUODERM WOUND DRESSINGS SO UNIQUE?

Duoderm wound care products promote healing in a moist wound environment with a unique, three-layered technology. Each Duoderm dressing contains a hydrocolloid layer which absords wound exudate, forming a gel.  This gel layer creates a moist environment which is optimal for wound healing.

The second, middle layer of the Duoderm dressing is made of soft foam.  This layer cushions the area and protects it from further injury or irritation.

Finally, the outer layer forms an impenetrable barrier.  It offers water and bacteria-proof protection to the dressing and the wound itself.

Proper application of Duoderm wound dressings will help maximize the level of wear comfort, and will also significantly enhance the healing process.

HOW TO APPLY DUODERM WOUND DRESSINGS:

1) Clean the wound using a mild, fragrance-free antibacterial liquid cleanser or professional-brand surgical scrub solution and a clean cloth.

2) Allow the area to air dry.

3) Remove the protective film.  Make sure that you don't touch the surface of the wound dressing when you do.

4) Place the dressing over the wound.  Make sure that the dressing is centered over the middle of the wound's circumference.

5) Press gently.
