HOW DOES DUODERM CGF WORK?

Duoderm CGF contains a layer of hydrocolloid gel.  This gel absorbs exudite and excess moisture from wounds like bed sores, burns and ulcers.

Duoderm CGF dressings promote a process called autolytic debridement.  The
hydrocolloid gel inside the dressing traps fluids from the wound.  These fluids
contain enzymes which help to break down dead tissue.  They also contain
immune cells which aid in healing the wound. In short, it is one of the most
natural ways to heal a wound.

TRIPLE LAYER TECHNOLOGY

Duoderm CGF dressings are triple-layered.  The hydrocolloid gel layer makes
direct contact with the wound, absorbing liquid and keeping the wound moist. 
The middle layer contains soft foam which cushions and protects the wound.  The top, outer layer of the dressing forms a waterproof, protective barrier which keeps bacteria out and helpful enzymes in.
