Tytin FC is a modified spherical, high-copper amalgam alloy that consists of 61% silver, 26% tin, and 13% copper. It uses a mercury-to-alloy ratio of approximately 43%. FC stands for firm condensation. This resistance to condensation, not normally experienced when using a spherical amalgam, is one of the product's main purported advantages. Tytin FC is provided in two-part plastic capsules that must be activated by squeezing before they are triturated.
